iOS 11.4 beta 1: the list of news

  • Messages on iCloud is "back". This feature allows you to store your iMessages in iCloud and thus have a perfect synchronization between its different devices. It also allows to find its iMessages in case of restoration of an iPhone or iPad. Messages on iCloud has been added in the iOS 11.3 beta, but the feature has been removed from the final version. It's back in the iOS 11.4 beta.
  • AirPlay 2 and stereo support for HomePod make their debut. The second function will connect two HomePods to have the same sound from both speakers at the same time. The support is present in the iOS 11.4 beta, but it is not yet possible to enjoy it because the HomePod is still with the 11.3 update. Apple is preparing the ground anyway.
  • Class Kit framework support. It works with Schoolwork, Apple's application that helps teachers and students to track their homework and progress.
  • This is, for now, the only changes spotted with the first iOS 11.4 beta. It is quite possible that Apple will add more with future releases. It is also worth noting that iOS 11.4 should improve performance and fix bugs.
